us on May 3rd in Atmore, AL at Tom Byrne Park for Mayfest 2008,
a community festival with a true, small town flavor.
Tom Byrne Park offers the perfect setting for this event which includes
arts and crafts, a Beautiful Baby Contest and much more. You’ll
want to bring a lawn chair and settle in for a full schedule of professional
and local entertainment on the Gazebo Stage. For the children
there is the Williams Station train ride, carnival and pony rides and
an old fashioned Go Fishing Booth. Or, come for lunch and enjoy
a variety of food offered by local and commercial vendors.
For the sports enthusiast, Mayfest 2008 offers a variety of activities in which to participate or be a spectator. Girls softball and Babe Ruth baseball tournaments will take place in the sports complex surrounding the park. For more information on these events, contact the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce.
