19th Annual Williams Station Day

Join us in Atmore, Alabama on Saturday, October 23 for Williams Station Day.  This celebration of Atmore’s past reaches back to 1866 when the community was a supply stop along the Mobile & Great Northern Railroad named Williams Station.  This one day festival coordinated by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce is always held the fourth Saturday in October.

 

The festival includes fine arts and original crafts, live entertainment on the Center Stage and under the Fiddlers’ Tent, storytelling, children’s art activities and rides, model train show, a static train display, real cane syrup from an old-timey cane mill, antique car show and, of course, FOOD! 

 

Entry Deadline:  September 7, 2010 - a completed application includes:

· Enclosed application filled in completely with current information

· Photograph of your set-up

· Proof of insurance

· A list of all food items you plan to serve at festival

· A check or money order for your space fee made payable to the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce

· A self addressed, stamped envelope for notification purposes after deadline.

Incomplete applications will be returned.  Previous attendance does not guarantee this year’s space or same booth locations, though we will attempt to accommodate request.  No refunds will be made for cancellation, removal for cause, or acts of God.

 

Pepsi has an exclusive on all carbonated drink sales.  You must sell PEPSI products.  Pepsi will have a truck on site for your convenience.

 

It is the individual responsibility of each commercial vendor to ensure their compliance with any State of

Alabama licensing requirements.  Sales tax forms will be available from the Atmore C of C upon request. 

 

Accepted food vendors must follow Food Safety Guidelines for Exempt Temporary Events as provided by the Alabama Department of Public Health (copy available upon request.)  A representative of the Escambia County Public Health Department may be contacted to discuss requirements.  Please direct questions to Jason

Booth Size:  20’ maximum; 14’ minimum. 

Units should be self-contained.  Water will be provided to fill holding tanks.  Extension cords and water hoses are not provided.  We use two locations for our food vendors based on electrical needs, water needs, trailer/tent size, etc.  They are - Methodist Church Food Court (main food court) and in front of the Center Stage area along Pensacola Avenue.  All Menu Prices must be visibly posted to the public.

 

Requirements concerning trash/oil disposal will be given to accepted food vendors upon arrival.
