If
you’re considering a new show for 2010, take a look at
Williams Station Day in Atmore, Alabama. This show attracts
crowds
from the Pensacola, Mobile and Baldwin County markets which are less
than an
hour away. Visitors enjoy the relaxed
atmosphere of a small town. However,
don’t let this small town show fool you, standards are high with
coordinators
committed to maintaining a quality event that is artist friendly. Set up is easy and parking close by. This event is promoted regionally with
billboards and brochures.
Join
us in Atmore, Alabama on Saturday, October 23, for Williams
Station Day. This celebration of
Atmore’s past reaches back to 1866 when the community first named
Williams
Station,
was a supply stop along the Mobile & Great Northern Railroad. In 1897 the town was renamed Atmore to honor
C.P. Atmore, General Passenger Agent for the L & N Railroad in
Louisville,
Kentucky.
The
majority of the day’s events will be centered around
the YMCA on Pensacola Avenue.
This 1926 Georgian building provides a beautiful backdrop for
events
which include a juried art show, a craft show, a Fiddler’s tent and
Storytelling tent. From blues to old
time gospel, entertainment on the Center Stage is sure to appeal to
every
taste.
General
Information
Both Shows
Spaces
are 14’ x 14’ / $65 each. Limited
electricity is available at $25 per
outlet. Check must accompany
application. An application is a
commitment
to exhibit if accepted. No refunds will
be made for cancellation, removal for cause or acts of God. Sponsors will not be responsible for loss,
damage or theft of artwork. We cannot
guarantee, but will try to honor same space requests.
Exhibits must be in place by 8:30 A.M. and
may not be removed before 5:00 P.M.
After unloading, parking will be provided for artists away from
the
exhibit area. No cars will be allowed on
the street until the show closes at 5:00 P.M.
Due
to
the heritage theme of this event, paid sponsorships
are available for demonstrating traditional artisans.

envelope. Craftsmen
will be eligible for the following awards.

We
will accept a limited number of jewelers who sell a
combination of handmade and/or manufactured jewelry.
