The City of Atmore is home to three beautiful parks, each offering its own unique amenities and gathering spaces.

Tom Byrne Park is one of Atmore's premier recreation destinations. Visitors can enjoy a ½-mile walking track, well-maintained tennis and pickleball courts, the city swimming pool, playgrounds, and the recently opened Murray Johnson Baseball Complex. Home to the City's youth baseball leagues, the complex also hosts baseball and softball tournaments throughout the year with City approval, bringing athletes and visitors from across the region to Atmore.

Houston Avery Park offers another great place for families to enjoy the outdoors with a swimming pool, playground equipment, open green spaces, and picnic areas.

The City of Atmore Parks & Recreation Department provides a wide variety of recreational programs throughout the year, including youth baseball, softball, and soccer leagues that encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and community involvement.

Whether you're enjoying a walk, cooling off at the splash pad, playing a game of pickleball, or spending the day at the ballpark, Atmore offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Atmore's arts community continues to grow, offering residents and visitors opportunities to experience live entertainment, local talent, and historic venues throughout the year.

The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts (GECA) produces a variety of theatrical performances that showcase talented actors, musicians, and volunteers from across our community. From family-friendly productions and musicals to classic plays, each performance highlights the creativity and passion that make Atmore's arts scene so special.

The historic Strand Theatre remains a centerpiece of downtown Atmore, hosting movies, live entertainment, concerts, comedy shows, and special community events throughout the year. The beautifully restored venue also features an event space available to rent for weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, and other celebrations.

Whether you're attending a Broadway-style production, enjoying a classic movie, or spending an evening listening to live music, Atmore offers a variety of entertainment experiences for all ages.
